The Phoenix Chapter of the National Alliance of American American Athletes was founded in May of 2005.
Our local chapter, emblematic of the National Organization’s philosophy of promoting academic Excellence, community service and social consciousness, delivers this way of life to the Phoenix community of African American Athletes. The Phoenix Chapters vision and mission enriches the exceptional talent, educational direction and Underlying beliefs of these young men, with an unremitting focus on character and leadership. The Alliance further more believes the celebrated prominence and influence of these young men will inspire a positive change in the lives of the preponderance of young African American men in our communities, most who live in a mixture of hope. The incessant challenges these young men face today, require that organizations such as the Alliance provide a continued pathway of optimism in a time where our public educational systems searches to meet the needs of students and compete with local institutions for the same state tax dollars, and just as a disproportionate number of African American young men involved in the criminal justice system has surpassed those who attend higher education, The Phoenix Chapter of the National Alliance of African American Athletes stands to provide a balance between these types of institutions and personal expectations. The Phoenix Chapter of the National Alliance of African American Athletes needs your voice and financial support to provide a continuing platform of creative change for our communities, while recognizing the academic achievements and motivating talent of our young men. The Phoenix Chapter of the National Alliance of African American Athletes are also proud to be associated with such positive business affiliates and sponsers as:
